Looking Good

​

Our attachment to looking good (and not looking bad) is the most fundamental source of all our suffering. 

​

It is not our desire to look good that causes all the problems. It is our attachment to it.

​

The HOGAB is built upon this foundation.

​

The belief that we are not good enough, not smart enough, or not lovable enough is built upon this foundation.

​

Worry, feeling pressured, getting overwhelmed, feeling stressed, defensiveness, and feeling guilt are built upon this foundation.

​

Difficulty saying "no" and not setting good boundaries with others are built upon this foundation.

​

Thoughts or feelings that you have to prove something are built upon this foundation.

​

Defaulting on our #1 responsibilities of taking care of ourselves and thinking for ourselves is built upon this foundation.
