Flight canceled (twice)!

Columbian Monomania-Episode 4

My flights from Shanghai to Taipei, Taipei to Los Angeles, and Los Angeles to Medellin Colombia are still fine...

But I need to get to Shanghai first and two flights there have already been canceled

COVID and the Chinese government are adding even more adventure to my trip to Colombia

The above cancellation was the second one that I booked after the first one was canceled the day before.

I am fortunate to have a friend who works for Trip.com. I'll be talking with her today at 11:00 AM to see what I can do so that I'll be able to catch my Shanghai flight on April 6th to Taipei.

Or, if necessary, how to reschedule all my flights until later without too much extra expense.

Sleeping in the airports

I've already adjusted my plans to sleep overnight in the airports in Shanghai and Taipei because, if I left the airports, I would have to go into quarantine. I was planning to sleep in a hotel for those two nights.

That is definitely a new adventure.

Medellin or Bogota?

Since barring any surprise information, I've already decided to live in Colombia, the big question is, "which city?"

I've already eliminated all other cities except Medellin and Bogota as possible places to live since they're too warm.

I will be landing in Medellin on April 8th. My plan is to explore and visit there until about April 20th. Then I will fly to Bogota. A one-way ticket will cost $40-$50. After a week in Bogota to make my final decision, I'll either continue to stay there until I fly back to China or I will return to Medellin and fly back to China from there. I plan a total of about five weeks in Colombia.
