We'll get your problem solved one way or the other. Open this door
On November ninth, the tide did turn,
A lesson lived, a truth well-learned.
Two parts of me once split in strife,
Declared a truce—that changed my life.
No longer torn by push and pull,
Lulu and Sage made peace in full.
No tug-of-war to steal our grace—
We walk as one, we share our place.
We rise, we move, in sync, in song,
No part left out, no moment wrong.
Our Now and Next, once split, now see:
The best of life comes when they agree.
Lulu had claimed the right to choose
To follow whim and Sage abuse.
While Sage, with dreams both deep and wide,
Stacked “someday” tasks up to the sky.
I’d tried to bridge that gap before,
But found myself outside the door.
The cold war raged before my eyes—
They both refused to compromise.
But that day I thought to check the past,
To when before I had surpassed—
That abscessed tooth, should I divorce?
Both times gave me a new resource.
I asked: “Which path will make me sing—
One with that daily bickering,
Or one where each gives up some pride,
Then peacefully live side by side?”
We rise, we move, in sync, in song,
No part left out, no moment wrong.
Our Now and Next, once split, now see:
The best of life comes when they agree.
So Lulu gave her veto back,
And Sage let go her “someday” stack.
Together now, they check each line—
Each task a step, each day so fine.
My wall came down, my path is clear,
So easy now to plan and steer.
My cold war ended, calm unfurled—
November ninth remade my world!
