You cannot be doing nothing,

Because then you’re doing something.

And truly something’s at least one thing.

And nothing’s surely not anything.

 

Yet there’s a way to nothing do,

Always to melt all doing’s glue,

By knowing doing’s not really you.

Believe it’s fine if nothing’s new.

You need not justify your time,

With something fully in the line.

Doing or don’t, where either’s fine,

Then nothing becomes so sublime.
