Fiction to Fact: A Life Based In Joy

They told us that “good” was the goal of the game,
To follow the rules and to carry the blame.
Success through denial, through struggle and pain—
The promise of virtue was always the chain.

Let ethics align, not tear you apart—
Integrity starts in your very own heart.
No need to be “good,” just learn how to see:
What allows you and others to be truly free.

Be strong, they declared, and just do what is right—
Suppress all your fears, keep those longings out of sight.
They painted life dark, said it’s meant to be hard—
They put others first in sky-high regard.

But Factualism offers a radical shift—
That joy isn’t selfish, it’s a natural gift.
You can honor yourself and still care for the rest—
When you get to win for the others it’s best.

They handed down lies called the good and the bad,
Of right and of wrong— that made us all sad.
But facts aren’t commands, they are keys to explore—
What brings us alive? What opens that door?

Let ethics align, not tear you apart—
Integrity starts in your very own heart.
No need to be “good,” just learn how to see:
What allows you and others to be truly free.

The old path said, “Fear is the foe you must fight,”

That hardship and loss are the signs you’re alright.

But the new way invites you to welcome your fear,

To partner with life when the stakes are unclear.

You are the chooser, no judge holds your key,

No heaven or system defines how to be.

Good, bad, and wrong are illusions self made—

Trade those myths for the facts, and let fictions fade.

All suffering comes when we fight what is true—

When the real is resisted, it breaks us in two.

But when you align with what’s true and what's kind,

A life you’ll love isn’t something you’ll find—

It’s something you make, with a clear, steady mind.

You don’t need a savior or struggle or shame—
Just look at what works, not someone to blame.
When fear is your friend and your choices are clear,
A life you love starts right now and right here.

Let ethics align, not tear you apart—
Integrity starts in your very own heart.
No need to be “good,” just learn how to see:
What allows you and others to be truly free.
