Garden of Eden: It's There Within

Some of you may have already listened to the song I have uh called Leaving Innocence and the Garden of Eden. I mean, I know I had a hand in creating this, but God, it's just, oh my god, it's just so amazing what it says, you know, and he, you know, he talks about the innocence and, you know, we all were at the beginning, but then how it all gets covered up, you know, happens to all of us, you know, it just but then then there's but even if I meant the songs, even say, hey, you know, even if you don't get out from there's that innocence, that's such a wonderful innocence is always there.
You know, it just I'm just I'm just going to let myself I'm going to share be with you and expressing myself as but you'll be focusing, you know, on the song and really listen to the lyrics in the song and everything it says. Uh see if you can get any sense of what I'm getting from it. Thank you. So, let me uh set up the share here and then we'll just get it started.
Before those memes of wrong and right,
Your child moved free in open light.
No weight of blame, no chasing praise,
Just playing through those endless days.
Each laugh was full, each moment whole,
No judge to split your heart from soul.
You lived in truth, by your own sights:
No praise, no blame to dull the lights.
No voice inside to say “you should,”
No scale that weighed the bad and good.
No need to turn, avoid, defend,
No inner voice that was no friend.
Just simple sight, so deeply real,
Your world of truth not yet concealed.
Your life was here for joy and play,
You learned and danced along the way.
Then slowly came the judge’s gaze,
The tones of blame, the tones of praise.
A look, a word, those subtle cues,
Your child got hooked on witch’s brew.
Approval warmed, rejection burned,
And soon those toxic lessons learned:
You grasped for praise, from shame you fled—
Condemned forever, innocence was shed.
Those voices stayed, grew strong, took root,
Became your mind’s unquestioned truth.
No longer heard as “theirs” or “taught,”
You fooled yourself, believed those thoughts.
That quiet pull, a constant need,
To earn, deserve, to prove, succeed.
Those endless cravings, deep and sad—
You’re now an addict of good and bad.
Though buried deep, there’s innocence,
No praise, no blame, there’s no judgment,
Yet so so deep, so deep within,
You’re innocent, you’ve never sinned.
Still there beneath all you have been,
Your child remains, unstained within—
So innocent, can’t be chagrinned:
Where praise and blame have never been
