Give Me Blame, I’ll Give You Guilt

You blame the blamer, but who blames the puller?

The puller shows up to make sure guilt’s fuller.

The pusher needs someone to carry the loads,

Without the guilt puller, no guilt is bestowed.

We know the guilt pusher — a well-labeled name,

But nobody mentions those pretending their tame.

Those pullers who shows up to carry the weight,

Pullers are the ones who keep open those gates.

When you call out the pushers with blame and with shame

You’re playing yourself the same guilt-pushing game.

Those fingers that you point add to the pathology.

You're pushing more guilt, more hypocritology!

You blame the blamer, but who blames the puller?

The puller shows up to make sure guilt’s fuller.

The pusher needs someone to carry the load,

Without the guilt puller, no guilt is bestowed.

The guilt that you feel is the fear to be shamed,

You beg to the others, "Please lessen your blame."

You've traded your life for others' applause,

Believing that claptrap when you are the cause.

Hold your frightened child with a comforting grace,

Let fear flow right through you, find peace in its place.

Breathe belly-deep, scream it out wacky and loud,

And laugh through the seriousness under that shroud.

You blame the blamer, but who blames the puller?

The puller shows up to make sure guilt’s fuller.

The pusher needs someone to carry the load,

Without the guilt puller, no guilt is bestowed.

I got it!
