~How scary would the world be if you couldn’t blame...
...yourself, which means no guilt or regret.
...your kids.
...your parents.
...your boss.
...your employees or reports.
...your wife or husband.
...your girlfriend or boyfriend.
...your ex.
...the atheists, agnostics, Christians, Mormons, Muslims, Hindus,
or Buddhists.
...the economy.
...the Republicans.
...the Democrats.
...the Libertarians.
...the president.
...the Deep State.
...Big Pharma.
But you could make assessments.
And you could take action to take care of yourself.
And you could make requests.
And you could set boundaries.
And you could say "no."
How scary would the world seem if you let go of blame,
both toward yourself and others?
And do you think the world would be a safer
or more dangerous place for you if you let go of blame?
How Scary Would The World Be?
How scary would the world be if you let go of all blame,
No guilting yourself, no finding others to defame?
You still could make assessments and still could say “no,”
Would this world be safer? Do you really want to know?
No guilting yourself, there’s neither guilt nor regret,
No blaming your kids, nor parents, not in your mindset.
No boss to condemn and neither spouse nor your ex,
With yourself and the world, without blame to perplex.
No atheists at fault, no Christians to blame,
No Muslims, no Hindus, no Mormons to shame.
No Democrats, Republicans, no president's sin,
No blaming the Deep State that we must surely chagrin.
Still you could be a-asking for things that you need,
Set limits, take action, not suffer from misdeeds.
Still make your assessments of what's real and true,
Say “no” without blaming, just doing what's for you.
So would the world feel more dangerous out there,
Or safer and cleaner with nobody to snare?
If blame is a story that keeps you tangled in chains,
Then letting it go would be worth all of the gains.
How scary would the world be if you let go of all blame,
No guilting yourself, no finding others to defame?
You still could make assessments and still could say “no,”
Would this world be safer? Do you really want to know?
