Judgment And Ethics

If you're ethical, you’re drawing a line—
What's good, what's evil, and who are swine.
Most systems insist, to be morally sound,
You must pass verdicts where guilt is found.

The New Ethics walks a brand new way—
No praise or blame in what we say.
No “right” or “wrong” to twist the heart,
For truth makes life your work of art.

In temples and churches, the pressure is clear—
Do what's expected, or answer to fear.
Even when cloaked in a smile or a nod,
The sentence is passed by a cultural god.

From karma to sin, the judgment's the gear—
Driving obedience, guilt, or a tear.
Even in silence, a gaze can condemn,
A code in the heart that says, “Don’t offend.”

The New Ethics walks a brand new way—
No praise or blame in what we say.
No “right” or “wrong” to twist the heart,
For truth makes life your work of art.

My mom was trapped in a joyless role,
Not from anger, but a moral toll.
“He needs you,” her mom had declared,
So my mom for years was in despair.

Even NVC, its soft-spoken frame,
Claims no judgment, but plays the same old game.
“Be empathic,” it says, “you won’t need control”—
But it smuggles in morals under the goal.

The New Ethics walks a brand new way—
No praise or blame in what we say.
No “right” or “wrong” to twist the heart,
For truth makes life your work of art.
