Just Two Things To Fix

We chase the gold that lies ahead,
While starving Now until it's dead.
We're told to wait, delay, abstain—
This sacrifice just brings us pain.

We’re split in four, we’re torn apart,
With fractured soul and burdened heart.
Now fights Next, and Self fights Their,
A war within, too much to bear.

Fixing two things fixes all—
Let all sides stand, no one to fall.
Align those parts and keep the peace,
You’ll feel the inner torment cease.

They say, “Forget the Now, plan wise!”
But dreams collapse when present dies.
No future blooms when Now’s denied—
Both must walk the path allied.

They say, “Don’t think of you, serve them!”
Then hollow hearts meet their dead end.
Self and Others, hand in hand,
Serve best when both are strong and stand.

To honor Next, love Now’s delight.
To care for Self makes giving right.
Integrity’s the frame we need—
A way to plant and grow each seed.

Fixing two things fixes all—
Let all sides stand, no one to fall.
Align those parts and keep the peace,
You’ll feel the inner torment cease.

It’s not indulgence, not neglect,
But finding win-win with respect.
A lifelong path, a daily choice—
For every part to have a voice.

So harmonize your inner song,
Where Now and Next can both be strong.
With Self and Others joined together—
A life of wholeness, so much better.

I got it!
