Key to Trust is Doubt

Doubt a little, doubt some more,
Question what you knew before.
Trust, when built on tested ground,
Stands unshaken, strong, and sound.

They say to trust your heart and mind,
But what if both have led you blind?
What if much you thought you knew
Was just thought that wasn’t true?

The wise have warned—beware the sure,
For certainty is no cure.
What we "must" and what we "should"
Aren’t as solid as we’ve understood.

Cognitive traps and bias deep,
Build the lies that habits keep.
From sunk-cost chains to echoes loud,
They shield us in a blinding shroud.

Doubt a little, doubt some more,
Question what you knew before.
Trust, when built on tested ground,
Stands unshaken, strong, and sound.

For trusting more, distrust some now,
Examine each unchallenged vow.
The words you use, the thoughts you bear,
Might just be castles built on air.

Question "should" and question "fair,"
Ask if "never" is really rare.
Do "promises" hold or slip away,
When faced with light of honest day?

With every doubt, a stronger hold,
A trust that's earned, no longer bold.
Not blind belief, but tested true,
A mind that questions breaks right through.

Doubt a little, doubt some more,
Question what you knew before.
Trust, when built on tested ground,
Stands unshaken, strong, and sound.
