~I both save and destroy marriages
As a life coach, I have worked with many couples/individuals
who were married but were having significant difficulties
in their marriage.
For some marriages, we decided together that the best outcome
would be to go for
creating a great new marriage and partnership.
For these marriages, you could say
that I "helped save the marriage."
For other marriages, we decided together that the best outcome
would be to go for creating
a great divorce and separation for all sides.
For these marriages, you could say that
I "helped to destroy the marriage."
Interesting way to think about it, right?!
Marriages: I Both Build and Destroy Them
When I start a conversation where the marriage is cracked,
We look at what’s not happy and at what still attracts.
With some we build a new marriage right there from the old,
With others we create an ending that’s better than gold.
I both build and destroy them, and I'll tell you what's true,
The ending or mending depends on what works best for you.
It's not about saving a name or a vow,
It's finding the life that you'd love to live now.
For some, the new marriage is built from the same,
Two people who both want to play a fresh game.
We clear out the rubble and start from what’s sound,
A love worth building from is there to be found.
I both build and destroy them, and I'll tell you what's true,
The ending or mending depends on what works best for you.
It's not about saving a name or a vow,
It's finding the life that you'd love to live now.
For some, a great divorce is the kindest of doors,
A clean ending opens new vistas to explore.
To part without rancor, all sides walking free,
Is its own kind of gift, one of life’s jubilees.
I both build and destroy them, and I'll tell you what's true,
The ending or mending depends on what works best for you.
It's not about saving a name or a vow,
It's finding the life that you'd love to live now.
