Rejoice in Guilt

Rejoice in Guilt

Rejoice in Guilt

Oh, what a thrill, you feel the weight,
Of guilt that whispers, "Don’t be late!"
It proves your badge, your shining role,
A loyal member with a caring soul.

For guilt’s the proof society asks,
To show you’re up to moral tasks.
If no remorse, what would they say?
"A shameless outcast, gone astray!"

So let’s rejoice, oh, what a sign!
You’re part of the herd, your heart aligns.
This ache, this tug, it’s but the fee,
To know you belong, don’t you agree?

Think not of freedom, bold and wild,
But duty’s chain that marks the mild.
For feeling bad’s a minor cost,
To prove your soul is never lost.

What joy to know you care so much,
To bear the guilt, its gentle clutch.
A badge of honor, worn with pride,
To show the world you’re on its side!

So, guilt’s no foe—oh no, my friend,
It’s just the tool through which we bend.
To duty’s call, we rise, we bow,
Rejoice in guilt—you’re worthy now!
