Illusions of Certainty

Let go, let go, the weight you bear,
Let certainty fade into the air.
Risk and doubt will light your way,
Those risks are life, don’t shy away.

We cling so tight to what we know,
Yet half our truths don’t truly show.
The future bends, it twists, it sways,
But we still dream of certain days.

The optimists, their sky so bright,
Yet blinds them to the coming night.
They plan and hope, yet fail to see,
The risks will shape their destiny.

The pessimists, they close their eyes,
They don’t believe in bluer skies.
They whisper "no," they dare not try,
And thinking luck will pass them by.

Words like should and right and wrong,
Trap us in a judgment song.
Yet when we strip their weight away,
A clearer path will light our day.

Let us question what we "know,”
Searching for what’s truly so.
To challenge thoughts, to doubt their claims,
To see the world beyond our frame.

Let go, let go, the weight you bear,
Let certainty fade into the air.
Risk and doubt will light your way,
Those risks are life, don’t shy away.
