Imp-Boy Asks, “How Can I Know?”

I'm Imp-Boy here, just trying to see,

What truth and knowledge could possibly be.

I know where’s the kitchen, that much is quite sound,

But those bigger truths seem much less profound.

What do we know, and how do we know it?

Judge it by whether it helps us to grow shit.

Is it useful or harmful, does it bring us delight?

That's how we can measure if knowledge is right.

That "should" word means praise if you’re playing their game,

And blame if you don't — they’ll blast you with shame.

And "fair" can mean this or it can mean that,

For nobody checks where the other’s “fair” sat.

What do we know, and how do we know it?

Judge it by whether it helps us to grow shit.

Is it useful or harmful, does it bring us delight?

That's how we can measure if knowledge is right.

And what of this "I" that makes every claim?

Science can't find it — now isn't that strange?

"I am because I say I am" might be the key,

A declaration that allows our knowing to be.

What do we know, and how do we know it?

Judge it by whether it helps us to grow shit.

Is it useful or harmful, does it bring us delight?

That's how we can measure if knowledge is right.

Good-evil and heaven — they’re fucking our minds,

These good/bad memes make us blind and unkind.

Yet Dad’s Mom smiles down — his fantasy a-right,

And she’ll never leave us, her smiles are delight.

What do we know, and how do we know it?

Judge it by whether it helps us to grow shit.

Is it useful or harmful, does it bring us delight?

That's how we can measure if knowledge is right.

Epistemology — now there's a big word,

The study of all, the truth and absurd.

The hard problem's not solved yet we all carry on,

Truth is alive when our happiness spawns.

What do we know, and how do we know it?

Judge it by whether it helps us to grow shit.

Is it useful or harmful, does it bring us delight?

That's how we can measure if knowledge is right.

I got it!
