Is It Ever About Survival?

When life feels heavy, sharp, unfair,
With quiet pressure in the air,
When worry knocks upon your door,
That hidden fear seems asking more.

Don’t fight that fear, let it pass through,
It flows with energy for you.
Feel it and see if danger’s near?
Most threats are shadows, drawn by fear.

In forest shade the creatures know,
When danger calls their power will grow.
They leap or run with sharpened sight,
Then rest again, that ends the flight.

But you resist that trembling spark,
And wander deep into the dark.
Your strength is split by wars inside,
By things you push away and hide.

Don’t fight that fear, let it pass through,
It flows with energy for you.
Feel it and see if danger’s near?
Most threats are shadows, drawn by fear.

You fear the blame, you chase the praise,
You shape yourself in careful ways.
No teeth, no claws, no mortal tide—
Just paper tigers to you have lied.

Your heart does race and spirit tires,
As if those shadows carried fire.
Though life is rarely life or death,
You live as if on borrowed breath.

Don’t fight that fear, let it pass through,
It flows with energy for you.
Feel it and see if danger’s near?
Most threats are shadows, drawn by fear.

You brace yourself as if you’ll fall,
As if survival rules it all.
But once you see what’s truly here,
Those storms dissolve, your sky grows clear.

So greet the fear you once denied,

Let clear-eyed seeing be your guide.

When food is sure and shelter’s near,

The rest of life’s a game from here.

Don’t fight that fear, let it pass through,
It flows with energy for you.
Feel it and see if danger’s near?
Most threats are shadows, drawn by fear.
