Sleep: The Sacred Bridge

When dusk descends and shadows grow,

The body whispers, “Time to slow.”

But Next keeps shouting, “Not just yet—

There’s more to do, don’t you forget.”

Yet Sleep’s the bridge from pain to peace,

The nightly gift where burdens cease.

Without it, life begins to fray—

Our strength and joy both drift away.

So let me rest, just let me lie,

In quiet calm beneath the sky.

For all I need to face the day,

Begins when dreams come out to play.

Our minds replay what’s left undone,

The words unsaid, the race not won.

But if Now and Next align just right,

Completion clears the path to night.

Unclench the fear, undo the stress,

The guilt, the worry, the “must impress.”

Lie back and breathe—release control—

Let mantra’s rhythm calm your soul.

So let me rest, just let me lie,

In quiet calm beneath the sky.

For all I need to face the day,

Begins when dreams come out to play.

A warm soak wraps the body deep,

Prepares the soul to dive in sleep.

Some count a breath, some dim the light,

Some read dull books to claim the night.

No pill can grant what rest provides—

A sharper mind, a heart that guides.

Your rhythm’s yours—owl or the lark—

Design your night, reclaim your spark.

So let me rest, just let me lie,

In quiet calm beneath the sky.

For all I need to face the day,

Begins when dreams come out to play.
