About Face! (Three Times)

You run so fast, you miss that street,
Chasing wins that don’t complete.
“Speed means nothing,” Gandhi said,
If to that road you’ve been misled.

You rush ahead, you strive, you race,
Your fear you hide, you won’t embrace.
You fight that voice, you block from sight,
Those buried fears have shaped your plight.

Turn it around—no more delay,
Embrace that fear, it’s here for play.
Choose Now then Next in joy unite,
Oneself then Others, it’s so right.

You’re taught to wait for someday’s prize,
To trade your Now for distant skies.
“Must do this Now, rewards are then,”
Delay those wins again again.

But joy requires first Now then Next,
Not just those goals that leave you vexed.
The journey sings, the work’s so light,
And step by step, it’s all delight.

Turn it around—no more delay,
Embrace that fear, it’s here for play.
Choose Now then Next in joy unite,
Oneself then Others, it’s so right.

You give yourself to earn your place,
To please the world, to save your face.
You lose your voice, no paradise,
You call that love, it’s sacrifice.

But truth is found when both can win,
No loss of self, you let love in.
With easy “nos,” then kind’s aligned,
A shared respect, aligned design.

Turn it around—no more delay,
Embrace that fear, it’s here for play.
Choose Now then Next in joy unite,
Oneself then Others, it’s so right.

I got it!
